HUMIRIT ng dalawang pisong dagdag pasahe sa Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang ilang transport groups sa buong bansa upang makaigpaw sa tumataas na presyo ng produktong petrolyo.
Sa isang liham kay LTFRB chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III, hiniling ng Liga ng Transportasyon at Operators sa Pilipinas, Pagkakaisa ng mga Tsuper at Operators Nationwide, Stop & Go Transport Coalition, at ng Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines na payagan silang magtaas ng singil sa pasahe.
Nais nila na pagbigyan ng LTFRB para sa P2 fare increase sa unang apat na kilometro.
“The immediate action and consideration of the good chairman of the LTFRB on this matter will go a long way in uplifting the economic conditions of the drivers and operators,” anang grupo.
Napakalaki anila ang idinagdag sa presyo ng parts at TBAs (throttle body alignment) “needed to ensure safe and comfortable transport service have tremendously increased.”
“Likewise, i.e. diesel etc. is becoming uncontrollable in surge of prices every week,” sabi nila.
Nito lamang Martes,tumaas ng P4 kada litro ang halaga ang diesel Just this week, diesel prices went up by P4 per liter.
Itinaas din ng oil companies ang presyo ng gasolina sa P0.50 at kerosene P2.75 kada litro.
“It is in this context that different national organizations represented by their respective national leaders are filing this petition/request for the necessary increase of fare for passengers utilizing the different modes of public transport services,” anang mga grupo.
