Bumuwelta si Miss Supranational 2023 Pauline Amelinckx sa mga negazens na walang ginawa kundi mangnega at mambastos ng mga kandidata sa iba’t ibang beauty pageant at ayon sa dalaga y marami umanong nagpapanggap na supporters at fans ng mga beauty pageant fans ngunit sa totoong buhay ay mga basher at hater naman daw.
Sa kanyang IG, naglabas ng saloobin ang dalaga at iginiit niyang hindi tama na pag-awayin ang mga kandidata at magsiraan sa social media.
“I reflected on this post and i think this has been long overdue. i really wanted to speak out and speak up against those individuals who claim to be pageant fans but who have made it their past time to bring beauty queens down, only, they disguise it as support to their bets. Being in the beauty pageant industry, my fellow queens and I understand the value of supporting other women and lifting each other up through the different challenges we face,” sabi ng dalaga.
“In this industry, that support system is one of the things that actually keeps us going,” dagdag niya.
“We allow ourselves to be authentic and vulnerable in the sea of noise that tries to tell us how and who we should it be. Navigating through all of that without losing our sense of self is challenging already. Which is why genuine support and kindness is so impactful as it carries us through,” sabi pa ni Pauline.
“But I will not stand for supporting a bet (kahit sino man!) if it is by bringing other queens down. It’s so disappointing to see this happen online and if that’s the way you show support, I can only implore you to rethink your actions and chose kindness instead. Lifting one person up doesn’t need to be through the destruction of someone else,” saad niya.
Maraming nag-react na mga beauty queen sa mahabang hugot ni Pauline at agree sila sa naging pahayag ng dalaga. Isa na riyan si Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na nagsabing, “Louder (clapping hands emoji).”
