“We are a minority of 2 in the Senate. We really need help from the opposition outside of Senate and Congress. I hope that they will be vocal or be felt during this succeeding years,” sabi ng senador sa The Chiefs sa One News kamakalawa.
“My point is we do not force ourselves to oppose just because we want to oppose . We oppose crazy decisions like the Maharlika Fund, that is madness. That’s why we oppose it,” sabi ni Pimentel.
“Ang the best ngayon, I think it will be a patriotic act for the President if he will go over all the wordings of the Maharlika Investment bill and he will realize that this is not the vehicle for the fund he had in mind when he backed this bill. And he would see the inherent contradictions and inconsistencies in the law,” sabi ng senador.
But apparently he had a change of mind or a change of heart and he did not appreciate the version given to him so he vetoed it. It can happen, a certified bill can be vetoed,” wika pa ng senador.
